Siargao Build (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website at siargaobuild.com (the “Platform”).

This policy complies with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

2.1. Information You Provide

• Contact form submissions: Name, email address, phone number (optional), WhatsApp number (optional), project timeline preference.
• Account registration: Email address, name, authentication data (if using Google SSO).
• Calculator inputs: Project configuration data (building type, size, location, features, budget parameters). This data is not personally identifiable on its own.

2.2. Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, calculator interactions, time on site, referral source.
• Device data: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, IP address.
• Cookies and tracking: We use analytics cookies (Vercel Analytics) to understand how visitors use the Platform. We also use Meta Pixel for advertising attribution (see Section 5).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

• Service delivery: Processing your calculator inputs, generating cost estimates and rental projections, saving your project configurations.
• Professional referrals: When you submit a contact form requesting a professional proposal, we share your contact details and project information with our local professional partner(s) so they can respond to your inquiry.
• Communication: Sending you the PDF report you requested, responding to your inquiries, and transactional emails related to your account.
• Platform improvement: Analyzing aggregate usage patterns to improve the calculator, user experience, and content.
• Advertising attribution: Measuring the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns (see Section 5).

We do not use your information for:

• Selling personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
• Sending unsolicited marketing emails (unless you explicitly opt in to a newsletter, if offered).
• Automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1. With Local Professionals

When you submit a contact form or request a professional proposal, we share the following with the relevant professional partner:

• Your name and contact details
• Your project configuration and estimated budget
• Your stated project timeline

This sharing occurs only at your request — by clicking “Get a Professional Proposal” or a similar call-to-action. We do not share your contact details with professionals unless you explicitly initiate the request.

4.2. With Service Providers

We may share data with third-party service providers who assist in operating the Platform, including:

• Hosting: Vercel (website hosting)
• Database: Supabase (data storage, authentication)
• Email: Resend (transactional emails)
• Analytics: Vercel Analytics
• Advertising: Meta Platforms (pixel and conversion tracking — see Section 5)

These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

4.3. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

5. Advertising & Meta Tracking

We use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising to reach potential users. To measure advertising effectiveness, we use:

• Meta Pixel: A client-side tracking script that records page views and key interactions (e.g., calculator started, calculation completed, form submitted).
• Meta Conversions API (CAPI): A server-side integration that sends conversion events to Meta for advertising attribution.

Data shared with Meta may include: Hashed email address, hashed phone number, IP address, browser user agent, Facebook click identifier (fbclid), Facebook browser identifier (fbp), and conversion event data (e.g., that a lead was submitted, estimated project value).

Meta uses this data to measure ad performance and optimize ad delivery. Meta’s use of this data is governed by Meta’s Data Policy.

You can control Meta tracking by:

• Using browser-based ad blockers or privacy tools

6. Cookies

The Platform uses the following types of cookies:

• Essential cookies: Required for the Platform to function (session management, authentication).
• Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with the Platform (Vercel Analytics).
• Advertising cookies: Meta Pixel sets cookies to track ad interactions and conversions.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings or via our cookie consent banner. Disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.

7. Data Retention

• Calculator data (without account): Stored in your browser session only. Not retained server-side unless you create an account or submit a contact form.
• Account data and saved projects: Retained for the duration of your account. You may request deletion at any time.
• Lead/contact form data: Retained for up to twelve (12) months from submission, after which it is anonymized or deleted unless an active professional engagement exists.
• Analytics data: Aggregate, non-personally-identifiable analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure database access, and limited access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Delete your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside the Philippines (e.g., Vercel and Supabase infrastructure). Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top indicates the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
